Reengineering of audit and information security systems

One of the main challenges in both projects was migrating legacy systems to a new, more scalable and maintainable technology. That meant reengineering the existing applications to understand the business logic in place and carry it over correctly to the new solution, working side by side with different teams at the bank. We also had to work out how the new system would integrate with multiple satellite systems in order to retrieve and synchronize the information needed for day-to-day operations. Another significant challenge was defining and implementing architectural solutions to improve performance and cut processing times in critical components of the system.

The solution was a new platform built on modern technologies, using Django for the backend and React for the frontend, with the goal of a more scalable, maintainable and flexible architecture. The existing systems were reengineered to survey the business logic and migrate it to the new environment, together with integrations to the bank's various satellite systems in order to centralize the information operations require. Architectural and performance improvements were also designed and implemented, optimizing critical processes and improving the system's response times.

The main improvements include the technological modernization of the systems, greater scalability and maintainability, and the automation of processes that used to be done by hand. Traceability and control over operations also improved, processing times were optimized, and integration with other bank systems became easier. This reduced operational risk, improved the internal team's efficiency, and delivered a platform ready to support future needs as the business grows and evolves.
